WILL GRIFFIN ART

Perceiving sculpture as an intermediary element between the viewer and space unveils its presence within architectural realms or amid natural landscapes. The sculpture redefines space, thereby shifting the viewer’s outlook. No longer confined to a fleeting moment of transit, the viewer is transported to a juncture of contemplation on their journey.

Most of the materials used below were discarded and found on the banks of the River Thames and the seashore in Liverpool.https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/crosby-beach-blitz-rubble. The discovery of this location came about after talking with a Liverpudlian about earlier finds in London. I took the 200-mile journey north of London to see for myself the following week.

The prospect of seeking out broken and discarded materials from former conflicts excited me, with their potential to create new sculptures.
